The Superlock system is a system which controls and monitors personnel access to telephone wiring cabinets and building block wiring cabinets.  It is state-of-the art control electronics with a special cabinet lock mechanism developed by TS.  The Superlock allows great flexibility in its configuration for its users. 

The Superlock system consists of the following major subsystems:
1.          Superlock 200 (SL200)
2.          Wirless Hand held unit (SK002)
3.          SuperController (SC200)
4.          SuperMonitoring Software (SW002) 

The first generation of Superlock 200 unit was a hand held unit to control the interface which mount on the surface of the cabinet.  Once contacted the interface, the identification of the service technician will be transmitted to the Supercontroller through a pair of copper wire.

 SuperController is designed to collect data from Superlock 200 and to work with Supermonitor for the purpose of access control and monitoring.  The electronic are enclosed in a rack-mounted chassic.  It can control up to 256 Superlock 200 units via direct connections using dedicated pair wires.

 SuperController continuously monitors each Superlock 200 unit and reports their status (instruction, self-test failed, or bad connection) to the Supermonitor station through a serial interface.  Upon completion of verification, the SuperController commands the Superlock 200 unit to unlock or to remain locked based on the response from the Supermonitoring system.

 In the second generation, the contact style hand held unit is replaced by a wireless hand held unit, and the mechanical configuration design of the Superlock 200 is simplified with a stronger lacking function.  Production cost is thus more effective due to the simplified mechanical configuration.

 The Supermonitoring software provides the central intelligence for the entire Superlock system.  It monitors and controls up to 256 SuperlockController.  The Supermonitoring software is a comprehensive maintenance management tool.  It keeps track of staff information and their involvements with the telecommunication equipment.  Combined with its powerful reporting functions, the Supermonitoring software allows the user to control and monitor who, when and what are Superlock equipment in an autonomous fashion.  However, to protect confidential personnel and technical data, the software has build-in security function to restrict all administrative functions to authorized personnel only.
